Xander Schauffele wasn’t near the top of the leaderboard like at Augusta, but the young star still made himself some good money with a T16 (70-69-68-76) at the PGA Championship.

That was his eighth top-25 in 10 starts in 2019 highlighted by a win at the Tournament of Champions and a T2 at the Masters.

The X-Man has some unfinished business at the Charles Schwab Challenge as he’s settled for T48 (71-70-71-71) in 2017 and posted one of just five missed cuts in 2018 here (72-72).

Schauffele had no problems putting here last year (1.665 strokes gained) but struggled with his ball striking.

I like that to change seeing how he’s 24th on Tour in SG approach (.562) and 27th off the tee (.452). He’s top-20 in most approach stats up to 200 yards including 15th from 175-200, which will come in handy on the par-3s.

He’s missed just one cut since August and should be a decent value for daily fantasy. Schauffele’s played twice in the last five weeks and took three weeks off prior to the PGA, so I like him to be ready to go in Texas.
