A course where you can let it hang out a bit with the driver? Sign Tony Finau up.

The big hitter has fared well in four consecutive trips to the Memorial Tournament, finishing T8-T11-T40-T13. Six of 16 rounds are in the 60s and five of his last six have been par or better.

Finau couldn’t catch up to a red hot Kevin Na last week at Colonial, but a solo second finish is encouraging for the one-time Tour winner.

He also finished T5 at the Masters and is 9-for-10 in cuts made in 2019. It’s beating a dead horse, but Finau’s trophy case is due to fill up sooner or later. That 2016 Puerto Rico Open trophy is getting lonely.

Finau ranks fourth in driving distance and 179th in driving accuracy, but he’ll likely hit more fairways this week than his 55.89% average.

He’s 17th on Tour in scoring average and is a favorite among DFS owners. He’s 20th in approach from 175-200 and 23rd from 200-plus, and I like him to chew up the par-5s.

The putter is sporadic for Finau, but he looked alright averaging .41 strokes gained last year on Muirfield Village’s greens.
