Xander Schauffele has a way of rising to the challenge. Short of winning, the 25-year-old has done it all in golf’s four big events.

He’s 8-for-9 making the cut at majors including four top-10s, two of which are T2 (2018 Open, 2019 Masters). Schauffele was also T16 at the PGA a few weeks back.

"“I feel major weeks, I seem to maybe focus more,” Schauffele speculated prior to the PGA. “I couldn’t tell you. You know, I just feel freed up in a sense. I feel a little more freed up than other tournaments because everyone — like I say about every major, there’s so much going on.”"

He’s been on Tour three years and has three wins, all of which came against strong fields. The last was at the Tournament of Champions in January.

Since, Schauffele has eight top-25s. His U.S. Open tune up was a T14 at the Memorial.

Schauffele is 12th in total strokes gained and top 50 in all categories. He’s plenty used to putting on poa greens and should be on them in regulation often (23rd in GIR).

This will be the X Man’s second trip to Pebble Beach. He finished tied for 66th place in his 2017 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am debut.
