By Jason Day’s standards, 2019 hasn’t been that great of a year for the 12-time PGA Tour winner. The Aussie is winless and without a top-three since his win May 2018 at the Wells Fargo Championship.

All hope is certainly not lost. Day just posted a T8 a couple weeks ago at the Travelers Championship where he fired 70-63-68-69. He struck it well hitting 87.5% greens in regulation and 78.57% fairways. Time to turn that into a streak at the 3M Open.

"“There are a lot of positives coming from this week and I feel really good about my game,” Day said after the Travelers. “Very, very motivated to go back and practice this coming week and get ready for the 3M Open.”"

That was Day’s fifth top-25 in his last six starts, which includes a T5 at the Masters and T23 at the PGA Championship.

He owns six top-10s in the 2018-19 PGA Tour season and has just two missed cuts.

Day didn’t have a great putting week in Hartford, but that shouldn’t be a huge concern going forward. The 31-year-old is 13th on Tour in strokes gained putting, was second in 2017-18 and first in 2016-17.

Day is 10th in strokes gained off the tee and should be able to fire away at a soft course like TPC Twin Cities.
