Lucas Glover – 70/1

Glover hasn’t won an event since 2011 when he took the W at the Wells Fargo Championship. I see that changing this week, and like Glover to win the inaugural 3M Open.

Here is why he is my dark horse favorite. In the four main SG categories, his worst is putting, ranking 57th. Off the tee he is 55th, approach is 36th, and around the green he is 28th. That’s good enough for 21st overall in SG. Pretty impressive.

You can tell by looking at his finishes this year that it has translated as well. Just not quite into a win. He has made the cut in 14 of 19 events, and has finished in the top 18 in 12 of those. That’s an incredible run of finishes.

He only has one top five, and three more top tens. Glover always seems to be on the cusp, and the 3M could be just the place for him to take home the win.

With TPC Twin Cities looking to be ready for a lot of good scoring, someone as consistent as Glover has a chance to make a dark horse run all week, putting up fantastic scores. In 62 round this year, Glover only has six scores above 72. It isn’t often that he has played poorly in 2019, and I don’t see that changing this week.
