Danny Lee – 80/1

Danny Lee is another golfer this week who hasn’t won in quite a while. His last win came in 2015 at the Greenbrier Classic. He has been playing pretty well lately, and has a better shot this week than his odds indicate.

At the beginning of June, Lee placed T-20th at the RBC Canadian Open, shooting rounds of 65-72-67-69.

In his most recent event, Lee finished T-21st at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Friday made his week tougher than it should’ve been once again, as he shot 66-71-69-69.

If you change his Friday scores to the average of his other three rounds each event, it makes for a much nicer resume over those two events. He would’ve finished T-11th at the Rocket Mortgage, and he would’ve finished T-6th at the RBC Canadian.

The other reason that I like Lee this week is his length off the tee. He ranks 44th in driving distance. On a course that should score well, I think the lack of fairways hit, where he comes in at 55%, won’t be as big a detriment as it would in normal events.

Lee has been money all year from 50-75 yards, and I think that will help him out a lot this week. He currently ranks 11th in distance from the hole from here, and will look to score on a lot of 10-15 footers as the week goes on.
