I’m filing Lucas Glover in the category of guys I maybe haven’t given enough credit.

Despite not contending for many titles this season, the 39-year-old major champion is steadily picking up big paydays.

Glover is renewed after making it through Korn Ferry Tour finals last fall. He started the 2018-19 season with five straight top-17’s. A missed cut preceded three straight top-10’s on both coasts.

The train keeps rolling as he’s up to 14 top-25’s this season after a T-7 last week at the 3M Open. Glover tied the course record 9-under 62 on Sunday.

He hit 77.78% greens and gained 1.166 strokes on the greens.

His work on the greens is a big positive. Glover’s having one of, if not his best, putting season at 45th strokes gained. He’s such a good ball striker that that’s all it takes for him to play well.

The green speeds and grass type is pretty consistent from TPC Twin Cities to TPC Deere Run, so Glover could post another solid week with the putter.

Glover is 19th in overall strokes gained with splits of 45th off the tee, 37th approach and 37th around the green.
