It’s been a roller coaster season for rookie Wyndham Clark. He had a streak of five made cuts to begin 2019 that included two straight top-10’s. A DQ ended that streak, but Clark reeled off three more paydays to continue what was a promising season.

Things got away from the 25-year-old as he followed that up with five missed cuts.

Yet again, he’s back on the horse. Clark’s last three starts read T-15, T-17, T-5 at the Travelers Championship, Rocket Mortgage Classic and 3M Open. He was fighting his swing on Sunday but pieced together a 68 and his fourth straight round in the 60’s.

He pumped the ball over 327 yards per drive and gained over a stroke a round on the greens.

Fortunately for Clark who ranks 189th in strokes gained approach, TPC Deere Run doesn’t throw too many demanding shots at players and greens will be plenty receptive. As long as Clark can stay out of trouble and hit greens, he’ll be fine.

Clark is seventh in SG putting and first in putting average. He’s also 12th in par breakers and fifth in par-5 scoring average.

This will be his fourth straight week playing and seventh event in eight weeks.
