Sungjae Im is one of those guys on Tour whose home is wherever that week’s Tour stop is. The 21-year-old South Korean will tee it up for the 23rd time in 2019 and 29th in the 2018-19 season.

He won twice on the Korn Ferry Tour to lead the money list. He played 34 worldwide events in 2018.

He could afford to be pickier with his schedule if he wanted to. Im is a contender for Rookie of the Year thanks to five top-10’s and 16/22 made cuts. His card is safe for next season and perhaps even a spot on this winter’s President’s Cup team.

Im’s most recent form shows are impressive. T-7 in Canada, T-21’s at the Travelers and Rocket Mortgage and T-15 last week at the 3M.

Im is now up to five made cuts in a row with the only week off in there coming at the U.S. Open that he did not qualify for.

Statistically he has no glaring weaknesses. Im’s 24th on Tour in overall strokes gained and as high as 25th around the green.

Im is also 25th in par breakers and has what it takes to throw up four consecutive rounds in the mid-60’s.
