Patrick Cantlay has brought some of his best golf to the majors in 2019. One of golf’s top ball strikers finished T-9 at the Masters and T-3 at the U.S. Open for his top two major finishes in 11 career starts.

He comes in off of two weeks of rest and hopes to pick up where he left off.

Cantlay has seven straight top-25s, nine in his last 10 events and 16 in his last 18. The former UCLA Bruin won his second career PGA Tour event in May at the Memorial Tournament.

Cantlay finished T-12 at the 2018 British Open at Carnoustie.

Statistically, on the PGA Tour Cantlay ranks second in total strokes gained. He’s top 25 in each category including fourth in tee to green. Cantlay’s main weakness is accuracy off the tee (153rd driving accuracy), so he’ll be happy to have the opportunity to hit plenty of irons and fairway woods.

If he’s in the short grass, he’s deadly. Cantlay ranks second on Tour in proximity from the fairway.

Sitting a solid 38th in and save percentage doesn’t hurt, either.

Cantlay’s not the flashiest pick, but he’s been a big favorite for daily fantasy owners for a couple of years running.
