Jon Rahm is becoming a trendy pick this week, and for good reason. He soared for a Sunday 62 to win the Irish Open a couple of weeks ago in comeback fashion.

"“I’m playing definitely the most consistent. My 11th Top-10 this year, I believe, on both the PGA Tour and European Tour. Definitely feeling good,” Rahm said. “It’s not doing anything necessarily better or special, really, compared to my first two years before. But I think I’m just a little more level-headed, a little bit more mature, slowly growing up and all that helps.”"

Rahm’s previous two starts before Ireland resulted in a T-3 at the U.S. Open and T-2 at the Andalucia Masters in his native Spain.

While the British Open hasn’t treated him well in three starts, Rahm has finished high in the other three majors of late.

Rahm was fourth at the Masters and PGA Championship in 2018 and was T-9 at the 2019 Masters.

He ranks fourth on the PGA Tour in strokes gained tee to green.

Rahm is having a decent year on the greens (53rd SG) and looked good rolling it at the Irish Open where he was eighth in putts per green in regulation.

Rahm has finished in the top 25 in all but three events in 2019, so he seems like a reliable pick here at Royal Portrush.
