Rafa Cabrera Bello (7,500)

RCB has been playing some quality golf since March. Let me provide some clarity to that statement. RCB has made 10 consecutive cuts (combined events on PGA and European Tours) since his missed cut at The Players.

Additionally, he has compiled some outstanding results in 2019. Let’s take a quick look at some of those good finishes. Rafa finished 3rd at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March, 16th at the RBC Heritage in April, 3rd at the BMW International Open in June, and 4th at the Irish Open earlier this month.

I should also note that RCB finished 2nd at the 2012 Irish Open played at Royal Portrush. That is outstanding in my opinion. He certainly knows this course. That is certainly a good thing.

Looking back at Rafa’s previous history at the British Open he does not have a consistent pattern of high results. However, he did finish 4th at the 2017 British Open. I think the 2017 result is more of an illustration of the Rafa Cabrera Bello we will see this week at Royal Portrush Golf Club.

In my opinion, Rafa has illustrated throughout his career that he can succeed in playing traditional links golf courses. I think that his quality play on a links track continues this week in Northern Ireland.

It also has to be said that, in my opinion, Rafa’s DraftKings price of $7,500 is a bargain. His lower cost will allow DFS players more flexibility when compiling lineups for DraftKings contests. Identifying lower cost golfers with high win equity is vital if one wants to include an elite golfer at a high price point in your Draftkings lineup.
