The cut has been made at the British Open, time to see who disappointed the most at Portrush.

The cut has been made at the 148th British Open, with 73 golfers set to tee off come this weekend.

Unfortunately, there are plenty of golfers who didn’t make the cut. In fact, more missed the cut than made the cut, and 83 people are going home after the completion of Friday’s round.

Many of them are people that very few expected to make it. From golfers who were there the first time. Ones who succumbed to the pressure of a major.

Then there are those who have been around for quite a while, only playing in the event because of past accomplishments. No one truly expected them to play well in the event, and a missed cut wasn’t a surprise.

Who I want to look at are those who were expected to play well. Golfers that are still near their primes, or even in their primes. Players that we expected to perform well, and be closer to the top of the leaderboard than they were to the cut line.

Some of these guys were favored very well in Vegas. They ruined a lot of parlays, DraftKings entries, pools that people play in for fun, and multiple other types of pools. Heck, they just didn’t play up to expectations and left a lot of fans and viewers disappointed.

The weekend is over for all of these golfers. Let’s look at those who disappointed the most from the opening rounds of the British Open.
