Caddie-blaming over Club Selection… What’s the Deal?
Regardless of my playing the devil’s advocate by examining the ‘Blaming the Caddie’ argument, I’m still disgusted by it. Then again, I’ve probably never been in the position to understand it. Furthermore, I’ve never been so hot at some point through 18 holes that I black-out and go through the motions, as Brooks would say. Resulting in a situation where the caddie is taking the reigns and being on their stuff 100% would probably be necessary.

Admittedly, I’m a little wary of how seriously Brooks’ commentary on the easiness of golf should be taken, but I think that last point still rings somewhat true. If your player is playing lights out, wouldn’t your priority be to get him precise numbers and let him keep swinging confidently while not thinking too much?
Probably. But even so, I’m pretty sure Brooksy knows what club and yardage he’s going for, maybe even with some information on the wind too, despite being in zombie-domination mode.
I guess I can see it both ways, but it’s easy to tell which way I lean. Take care of your business as a player so that the caddie can take care of his.
There are always two sides to every argument. I would love to get some audience opinions on this. What do y’all think?
