European Tour Regulars With Hopes Of FedEx St. Jude Victory
By Matt Coles
Eddie Pepperell
The second Englishman on this list is Eddie Pepperell, whose British Open hopes faltered over the weekend, as he fell away into 71st place, on a score of +8 at Portrush.
However, prior to the final major of the season, the Englishman had shown some good form, with two top-five finishes in his last four events.
Pepperell finished in a tie for 2nd at the Betfred British Masters at Hillside in May, before then ending the week at Lahinch in a tie for 4th come to the conclusion of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open.
The man from Oxford also finished just outside the top 50 at the Masters in April, in the first major championship of 2019.
‘Pepps’ broke onto the scene properly in 2015, and finally took his first win on the European Tour last season, at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.
The Englishman also secured his second win, as he took the victory at the Sky Sports British Masters, held at Walton Heath in October.
This will be Pepperell’s first appearance at the FedEx St. Jude International, with the World No.38 teeing off at 11:20 am, in the first group. He will play alongside Max Homa and Kodai Ichihara.
