Marc Leishman began and finished the 2018-19 season strong. The fun-loving Aussie wasn’t his sharpest in the compressed major championship season, but he made hay in the fall with a win at the CIMB Classic and closed the season strong to qualify for the Tour Championship.

Big Leish was third at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude and played well at the BMW Championship to grab T-19.

Gaining more course experience oddly hasn’t yielded improved results at A Military Tribute at the Greenbrier. Leishman finished T-16 at the 2010 inaugural event but has seen the weekend just one time in his next four tries.

Leishman hasn’t played the Old White course since 2015, however, and much of his best golf has come in the last few years.

He’s solid with every club in the bag. Looking through his SG statistics, you can see the consistency that resides in each area. The 35-year-old is 28th in his SG approach, 41st SG putting and 54th SG around the green.

A weakness can be the driver, but I like him to be able to blast it around here without too much penalty. Or he can likely get by hitting smaller cubs off the tee and letting his irons do the work.
