Your reigning A Military Tribute at the Greenbrier champion is back at the Old White.

Kevin Na posted 19-under 261 for the tournament’s second-lowest winning score. He shot scores of 69-63-65-64 to beat Kelly Kraft by five.

It was a long time coming for Na as nearly seven years had passed from his maiden PGA Tour win in 2011 in Las Vegas. In between, Na battled slow play issues and had trouble pulling the trigger on shots. The 35-year-old now appears more comfortable in his own skin.

"“Oh, it’s undescribable. The amount of close calls I’ve had and disappointments I’ve had, walking off the 18th hole in the locker room, on the drive back to the hotel,” Na said after his win. “I mean, a lot of heartbreaks, but today everything was going well. Everything was going my way, and it was nice to have that big lead going up to the last hole and enjoying the moment. It was well worth it.”"

Na, is 132nd on Tour in driving distance (289.6) but took advantage of firm conditions to poke it out there 323.5 last year at this event. He also hit 73.61% GIR and 67.86% fairways. The putter was hot, too, as he gained over three strokes to the field on the greens Sunday and 1.772 average for the week.

The triumph has since been freed to play some stellar golf highlighted by a win back in May at Colonial.

Na finished the 2018-19 season with three top-10s in 20 events.

He was seventh on Tour in strokes gained around the green including 43rd in sand saves.

Na isn’t the first name you think of to go out and fire a low number, but I like his chances to heat up at the Old White once more.

He’s made the cut at the Greenbrier in all five starts and was T-7 in 2012.
