Russell Knox – 66/1

Knox is looking to shake off memories of his last event when he carded two quad bogeys while playing at the Northern Trust. New year, new expectations.

Although he has been a regular on the PGA Tour since 2012, this is only the second time that Know will have played the Greenbrier.

With only one top-three finish in the last three seasons, Knox is looking to get back to the magic that he had during the 2016 season. He finished with two wins and two second-place finishes that year, easily making it the best season of the Scot’s career.

The finish to last season was definitely an outlier for Knox, especially with how he had been playing over the last few tournaments. After gaining around 2.65 SG total over the previous four events putting, Knox gave that all away at the Northern Trust, with a -2.515. That four-event stretch he had seen was the best of the season for him, as it seems like the Northern Trust just has his number.

He finished 18th in approaching the green last year, and it should continue to be a strong number, as it has been one of his better skills throughout his career. Knox is normally a decent to above-average putter, and if you pair that with his high amount of GIR hit, he should see plenty of birdie opportunities this week.
