The talented Argentinian Emiliano Grillo is making his Sanderson Farms Championship debut. That’s largely due to the fact that he was too busy competing in the WGC-HSBC Champions that used to run simultaneously. That’s not a bad thing.

The 27-year-old is a PGA Tour winner at the 2015 Safeway Open and was also a runner up at the 2018 CIMB Classic last season.

Also last season, Grillo made the cut in all three majors he played in, including a T-23 at the PGA Championship. He also was T-9 at the elevated status event the Memorial Tournament.

He comes in well rested with five weeks off after a T-31 at the BMW Championship in the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

There were few who were better with an iron in hand than Grillo. He was third on Tour in strokes gained approach (.926), which paired well with a mark of 20th in strokes gained off the tee (.47). His 27th rank in driving accuracy (68.13%) will come in handy this week at the Country Club of Jackson’s narrow, tree-lined fairways.

Grillo was outside the top 150 in putting and around the green, and on a new course, are reasons why I don’t have him higher up the list. Still, he seems to be a solid choice to add to your DFS lineup.
