Tommy Fleetwood

The second Englishman on our list of contenders for the BMW PGA is already a Rolex Series event winner and a Race to Dubai winner, both from the same season.

England’s Tommy Fleetwood has seen himself rise through the golfing ranks and he is now a contender at every event he plays and this week will be no different.

The man from Southport won the Race to Dubai in 2017, with his Rolex Series tournament victory, at the Open de France that same year.

A year later, and he secured his best-ever finish at a major, finishing runner-up at the US Open, a result he then matched at the British Open at Portrush this time round.

The autumn of 2018 also saw the Englishman strike up a wonderful partnership with Francesco Molinari, as the pair won all four of their doubles matches at the Ryder Cup at Golf National in Paris, the first European pair to ever do so.

Fleetwood sits inside the top of the Race to Dubai this season and will be looking to keep his good form going on home soil this week at Wentworth.

The Englishman has good memories of playing at the club, having made an albatross on the par-5 4th back in 2015, and he will have the crowd behind him this week. He will play alongside Matt Wallace and Eddie Pepperell in an all-English grouping.
