The final stretch of the European Tour is among us and we are now into the final three Rolex Series events of the year, starting with the Turkish Airlines Open.
Only 75 golfers will play in Antalya this week, with the top 70 golfers on the Race to Dubai (and substitutes for those not playing), four invited golfers and a national player all featuring at the Turkish Airlines Open.
It is the sixth Rolex Series event of the season, and the first of the three-week finale to the 2019 European Tour season, which culminates in the DP World Tour Championship in two weeks time.
This year’s event is back at the Montgomerie Maxx Royal Golf Course, the same venue which hosted the first three editions of the event. Four years on from its last outing, the MMRGC returns to the European Tour fold, for the seventh iteration of the Turkish Airlines.
Justin Rose comes into the event as the two-time defending champion, having won this event in both 2017 and 2018. In fact, he is the only previous winner in this year’s field, with two-time winner Victor Dubuisson, 2014 champ Brooks Koepka and 2016 victor Thorbjorn Olesen not in Turkey.
With no PGA TOUR event on this week, the Turkish Airlines Open is the best fix of golf for fans across the world from Thursday-Sunday, and here are the best golfers to plump for if you want to earn some money this week.
