Englishman Matt Wallace might not be having a breakout year as he did in 2018, but the consistency he has shown has moved him into the top 30 in the Official World Golf Rankings, and he sits in 6th on the Race to Dubai leaderboard.

The man from Sheffield broke through last season, winning the Hero Indian Open, BMW International Open and Made in Denmark, victorious in playoffs against fellow Englishmen in both the first and last of those three wins.

2019 has not seen him lift a trophy, but he has finished inside the top 15 in two of the season’s majors, including a T3 finish at the PGA Championship at Bethpage Black in May.

Wallace is coming into form at the right time for the end-of-season push, with top ten finishes at both the Italian Open and the Portugal Masters in October.

The Englishman is a fan of the Nedbank as well, having finished inside the top five in 2018, prior to a T2 finish at the DP World Tour Championship. A finish like that could see him push for the Race to Dubai crown in two weeks’ time.

He may have only just finished inside the top 50 at the Turkish Airlines Open last week, but Wallace will be looking to bounce back with a big performance at ‘Africa’s Major’.
