Spain’s Jon Rahm has been in imperious form over the 2019 campaign, having finished inside the top five at all bar one of the European Tour events he has played in, along with four top 15 finishes in the majors and WGC events.

Rahm lifted his third Rolex Series title earlier this year when he won the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open for a second time, before then winning on home soil at the Mutuactivos Open de Espana, as he retained his title.

Elsewhere, the Spaniard has runner-up finishes at the BMW PGA Championship and the Andalucia Masters, along with a T3 finish at the U.S. Open. There have also been nine top-ten finishes on the PGA TOUR, which have catapulted him into the top five the Official World Golf Rankings.

Rahm sits in 3rd on the Race to Dubai list thanks to his performances this season, and the Spaniard has also been victorious at the DP World Tour Championship in the past. He won this title in 2017, beating Shane Lowry and Kiradech Aphibarnrat by a single shot to take the win.

The World No.5 is also in with a shot of becoming the Spaniard to win the Race to Dubai (or Order of Merit) since Seve Ballesteros did so for the sixth time in 1991. A top-two finish could be enough for Rahm to take the season’s crown, and considering he has won once and finished in a tie for 4th in his two appearances in Dubai, he could be one of the main challengers come Sunday.
