Bernd Weisberger

Current Points: 4,802.4

Bernd Weisberger is your current leader in the Race to Dubai. A big reason for that is the multiple wins he has pulled down this season. Weisberger won the Made in Denmark, the ASI Scottish Open, and the Italian Open as well.

That is enough to give him a 700+ point lead over Tommy Fleetwood, who sits in second thanks to his win at the Nedbank Challenge last week.

For Weisberger to be the champion this week, he could finish by himself in second place and still be crowned the champion, even in Fleetwood were to win.

Victories are important, and the ones that Weisberger earned early in the year have given him a little bit of breathing room this week.

Weisberger doesn’t need to worry too much about the other golfers in the tournament. He is the only one that is in charge of his own destiny. Win or get 2nd outright, and the title is his.

Can that happen? He finished 45th here in 2017, T-4th in 2016, T-17th in 2015, and T-16th in 2014. It’s been a bit of up and down. Other than the 2017 finish, he played well here for three years in a row. If that continues, there is going to be plenty of pressure on one of these next four golfers to try and win the DP World for a shot at the Race to Dubai title.
