Current Points: 4,079.7

Fleetwood made a huge jump up the Race to Dubai leaderboard with his win at the Nedbank Golf Challenge. The win earned him 1,665 points, around 40% of what he has made for the season. He even tried to Fleetwood himself at the Nedbank, shooting a 73 on day three.

For those unfamiliar with the term, A “Fleetwood” is when you play incredible golf for three rounds, but blow the tournament by having a bad round in the midst of your run.

There are a handful of scenarios where Fleetwood can win the Race to Dubai this week. We will start off with the easiest one. If Wiesberger finishes lower than a solo second, and Fleetwood wins, then he will win the Race to Dubai as well.

If he is unable to win and gets a solo second, then he just needs to beat Wiesberger and have him fall to a three-way tie for third or worse, and have neither Rahm nor Lowry win the event.

If he ends up in a tie for second, he needs Wiesberger to finish in at least T-7th, with none of the other three winning.

As more and more people end up in a hypothetical tie in second with Fleetwood, the points he could earn drastically drop. A three-way tie and he needs Wiesberger to finish 15th or worse. a four-way tie and it becomes 42nd.
