The PGA Tour is back in the states for the RSM Classic. Here is a look at some sleeper candidates that could make a surprise appearance on the leaderboard.

The PGA Tour is back at it this week, playing the RSM Classic. With the majority of golf’s stars either taking part in the DP World Tour Championship or taking the week off, there is plenty of opportunities for lesser-known golfers and sleeper candidates to make a splash this week and gain some early FedEx Cup points.

Odds this week are brought to you by the action network, the place to go for your odds information. If you’re more interested in a daily fantasy side for this week, we’ve got you covered there ourselves.

This week’s event is being played down in Georgia at the Sea Island Golf Club. This will be the tenth year that the tournament has been held there, although up until 2015 it was known as the McGladrey Classic.

We have some former winners in the field this year, and the most recent one, Charles Howell III is looking to go back-to-back. He doesn’t make the sleeper list, as he is one of the top five favorites to win this week.

Previous winners are actually going to be the theme of this week’s edition of sleeper picks. When I note the year the player one, it references the actual date, and not the season that they won. This year’s event would be 2019, even though it is the 2020 season. There has not been a multiple-time winner of this event, as the RSM Classic has seen nine winners in nine years. In fact, no one has finished in the top two twice in this event as well.

I’ll be sticking with former winners for the sleeper picks, and we get started with someone who at first glance you would think belongs on your fantasy football team. His name is a little different though.
