The first man on our Power Rankings list this week is Benjamin Poke, who will be appearing on the European Tour for the first time since August 2015, when he was an amateur at the Made in Denmark, his home event.

Poke will come into his first event as a Challenge Tour graduate this week, having stormed to victory at the European Tour Qualifying School’s Final Stage At Lumine Golf Club in Spain last week.

The Dane took a six-shot victory at the Final Stage, and he was in complete control throughout the marathon week, with the event being played over six rounds.

He shot 67, 67, 69, 67, 69, 64 to finish the week at 25-under-par, six shots clear of his nearest rival, Gregory Havret, who is already a three-time winner on the European Tour, but dropped down to the Challenge Tour level after the 2018 campaign.

Poke’s achievements are all the more extraordinary considering he was finishing up his rookie season on the Challenge Tour. No matter, though, as the 27-year-old will be looking ahead to a full campaign on the European Tour in 2020.

Poke is our wildcard No.10 entry for this week’s event in South Africa. The Dane will be looking to continue his form on his professional debut on the Tour, and he could be one to look out for come Sunday.
