England’s Jack Singh Brar is once again on our Power Rankings list for this week, after coming home inside the top 30 at the Alfred Dunhill Championships last week.

It was the start of his second season on the European Tour, having sank a putt on the final hole of the Portugal Masters in October to keep his Tour card for the 2020 campaign.

Coming into the final round, Singh Brar knew he needed to finish inside the top ten of the event in Vilamoura to assure himself of a position inside the top 115 on the Race to Dubai list, and therefore, keeping his card for the new season.

He did so, thanks to a T8 finish at the Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course, which kept him in the top 115. It was the Englishman’s best performances of the season, and he could not have brought it out at a better time.

2019 was not the best year for Singh Brar, who dropped from 212nd to outside the top 350 in the Official World Golf Rankings, but that top ten finish in Portugal would have given the young man some confidence going into the 2020 campaign.

This will be the Englishman’s second appearance at the AFRASIA BANK Mauritius Open, having missed the cut at the Four Seasons Resort last season. He will be looking to finish much higher up the standings this year.
