The youngest member of this week’s Power Rankings in Denmark’s Rasmus Højgaard, who is featuring in only his sixth European Tour event, and he already has a victory to his name.

The Dane won the three-man playoff at the AFRASIA BANK Mauritius Open in December, beating out Antoine Rozner and Renato Paratore to the title, to become the third-youngest man to win on the European Tour.

That result catapulted him into the international spotlight, and he now sits at his best ever Official World Golf Ranking of World No.189, having been outside the top 2000 less than twelve months, and that incredible rise is likely to continue throughout his debut season on the Tour.

The Dane also featured at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, also in South Africa, and came home inside the top 50 there, with the two results helping into 2nd place in the Race to Dubai, and with Pablo Larrazabal not featuring this week, he is the highest placed man on the RTD leaderboard to be playing in the South African Open.

Although it would be an almighty stretch for it to happen, could Højgaard take a second win in as many events and secure his place at the top of the Race to Dubai leaderboard come Sunday?
