Victor Perez makes it two weeks on the spin on ProGolfNow’s European Tour Power Rankings, with the Frenchman in the best form of his life, including a runners-up finish just two weeks ago.

Now at World No.41, the highest placing on the Official World Golf Rankings of his career, the 27-year-old has won a maiden title and finished runner-up twice in the last five months.

He broke through with a win at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, playing well in testing conditions across the trio of courses used in the event, at Carnoustie, Kingsbarns and the Old Course at St. Andrews.

Just a month later, the Frenchman then lost out in a playoff at the Turkish Airlines Open, the first of the final series of Rolex events in the 2019 season. Perez also finished runner-up at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA, the first Rolex Series tournament of the new campaign.

In that run, the Frenchman also finished inside the top four at the WGC-HSBC Champions, along with a T20 result at the season-ending DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, moving him up from outside the top 180 in the world and into the 50.

The 2019 term was his first full-time on the European Tour, and he grabbed his opportunity with both hands, with four other top 20 finishes, including a T16 at his home national championship, the Amundi Open de France.

He played in last year’s edition of the Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers and came home in a tie for 13th. Could the young Frenchman outshine the best in the world again this week?
