One of the nine winners on the European Tour this season, Pablo Larrazabal slots in at 6th on our Oman Open Power Rankings.

The Spaniard was victorious at the first event of the 2020 campaign, winning the Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa in December, and held the lead on the Race to Dubai over the following four weeks.

He now sits in 12th on the list following a 64th place finish at the WGC-Mexico Championship, the first World Golf Championships event of the 2020 campaign.

Larrazabal sits in 166th in the Official World Golf Rankings, having only finished inside the top 50 once since his victory, where he came home in a tie for 13th at the Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers.

Along with the victory at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, Larrazabal also had four other top ten finishes across the 2019 calendar year.

He came home in T6 at his first showing, last year’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA, before finishing in T8 and T4 at the Betfred British Masters and Made in Denmark presented by FREJA, respectively, in the summer. He also finished inside the top ten at the Porsche European Open in Germany in September.

The Spaniard has not shown his best golf in Oman, finishing in T44 in the inaugural event in 2018, before missing the cut last year. Could this be his time to return to the form he showed in early December?
