2008 – Trevor Immelman

As the 2008 Masters approached, no one would have been surprised if there had been a wire-to-wire winner. Tiger Woods, already a four-time Masters champion, was in the field and was expected to be the one to beat all week.

As it turns out, there was a wire-to-wire winner that week at Augusta. His name was Trevor Immelman, and he led, or shared the lead, after all four rounds. The South African was able to win, despite shooting 75 on Sunday. Immelman won by three shots over Woods, who could only muster an even-par round of 72 on Sunday.
