Louis Oosthuizen, 2012, 2nd Hole

Only two players in Masters history have ever recorded an albatross, or a double eagle. Playing the second hole in the final round of the 2012 Masters, Oosthuizen hit a four-iron from 253 yards out. The shot hit on the front part of the green, then rolled nearly 80 feet before trickling over the edge of the cup and into the hole.

It was the first career albatross for the South African, who was wearing a Masters green polo shirt, and it propelled him into the lead early on Sunday. Oosthuizen would be tied for the lead after Sunday’s round, but would lose to Bubba Watson in a playoff after Watson hit an amazing shot of his own.
