Jack Nicklaus, 1986, 15th Hole

As Jack Nicklaus rallied on the back nine in the final round of the 1986 Masters, the Golden Bear hit a number of memorable shots. As Nicklaus holed his putt on the 17th hole, CBS broadcaster Verne Lundquist memorably said “yes sir!” emphatically. Nicklaus’ tee shot on the 16th hole nearly found the cup, setting up a birdie, and could also be worthy of this list.

But the biggest shot of his round came on the par-5 15th hole. Still trying to fight his way clear of Seve Ballesteros, Nicklaus’ second shot came to rest about 12 feet from the hole. The Golden Bear would sink the eagle putt on his way to winning yet another green jacket.
