10. 2013 WGC-NEG title

We have already established that Woods has exerted his dominance on certain courses. While Torrey Pines is definitely one of those, so is the South Course at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.

Woods has won eight times at the track including in 2013 when he won his 18th World Golf Championship event and his 79th PGA Tour event.

Woods, who had not won over the previous three years at the event, opened on Thursday with a 4-under par 66, leaving him two shots behind first-round leader Webb Simpson and one shot short of Henrik Stenson.

Friday’s round was one of the most impressive in Woods’ entire career. He shot a 9-under par 61, vaulting from third place into the lead by seven shots over Keegan Bradley and Chris Wood.

Woods shot a 2-under par 68 on Saturday to maintain a seven-shot advantage over Stenson and an eight-shot lead over Jason Dufner.

Sunday’s round, which was a mere formality, saw Woods shoot an even par round of 70 to beat Bradley and Stenson by seven shots. Woods took home the $1.5 million check for first place and he once again dominated a field that included most of the world’s best players.
