OWGR: Part VI of obscure nations’ top ranked golfer

Who are the top golfers from places where golf isn’t quite so popular?

When you visit the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) website, you see the familiar names.

Rory, Rahm, Brooks, Tiger. The gang’s all there.

But did you know you can explore who the top-ranked golfers are by world region? Or by country?

You can. And, if you’re not careful, you can fall down a rabbit hole.

That’s exactly what I did.

I plan to spotlight various countries around the world, spotlighting their top-ranked golfer, as well as what type of foothold golf has there. It’s an interesting and intriguing way to learn about some of the players who are a bit further down the OWGR… OK, maybe a long way down the list.

A minor-league golfer might not make waves in the USA, but he could be numero uno in his own pocket of the world, as you’ll see in the coming slides.

As we got through today’s list, we will check out some of the lesser-known golfers, and ones from places that you might not be all that familiar with.
