Kevin Na posted his best result last wek at the Travelers Championship since the PGA Tour returned to action. The 36-year-old posted 66-66-65-67 to finish in fifth place. He was one of just three to fire 67 or better each day.

Na was just as well-rounded with his stats ranking 31st or better in all the strokes gained categories. His putter, like usual, was his best club in the bag. Na was sixth in SG putting (1.41).

Na also ranks sixth in SG putting for the season (.84). He’s in the top 50 in SG approach and around the green to help him sit at 18th in overall SG (1.104).

His weakness is a lack of distance off the tee. Perhaps the dry, warm conditions expected at Detroit Golf Club will add some fire to the fireways yo aid shorter players.

In his other start following the PGA Tour resumption, Na missed the cut at his title defense of the Charles Schwab Challenge. He admitted he tweaked his back a week before that event, but said it’s been getting better.

He’s already a winner in the 2019-2020 season. The Las Vegas resident won a home game at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open for his third career victory. It was one of eight top-20s in 14 starts. He’s missed just three cuts and

Na did not play in the 2019 Rocket Mortgage Classic.

This week isn’t tailor made for Na, but I still like him to roll in enough putts to be in the mix.
