This week, the fantasy golf community shift’s it’s focus to one of the most prestigious events on the PGA Tour, the Memorial tournament.

I just want to make one key note regarding this fantasy golf article. Due to the fact the Memorial Tournament will be played on the same golf course as last week I will not be diving into course description, etc. as I usually do. If you are interested in my breakdown of the golf course check out my article from last week covering the Workday Charity Open.

Let’s not waste anymore time! Here are my fantasy golf/Draftkings selections for the 2020 Memorial Tournament.

Brooks Koepka $9,100

Yes, I know that Kopeka missed the cut at last week’s Workday Charity Open. I watched Koepka for a good portion of his two rounds of play last week. Full disclosure, he did not look great through the first 27 holes. However, something appeared to click for the three time major champion on his final nine holes of the second round. Koepka fired a back nine score of 31 on his way to missing the cut on the number, by just a single shot. It was clear to me that Koepka wanted to get through the cut-line so that he could make a run in the event.

I think Koepka is absolutely thrilled that he gets a second chance to play at the Muirfield Village Golf Club for this week’s Memorial Tournament. He knows that this invitational only field is stacked with talent. I think he wants to show them this week that Brooks Koepka is still arguably the best golfer in the world.

Kopeka finished seventh at the Travelers Championship three weeks ago. He currently ranks 20th in strokes gained off the tee (.491) on the PGA Tour.

Rickie Fowler $8,800

Fowler has two consecutive top 22 finishes on the PGA Tour. Additionally, Fowler has produced some very good results at the Memorial Tournament in the past. To be more specific, Fowler has three consecutive top 14 finishes at the Memorial, including a second place result in 2017.

Daniel Berger $8,700

The 27 year old American arrives at this event on the heels of five consecutive top nine finishes on the PGA tour, including a win at the Charles Schwab Challenge last month.

Berger is currently ranked sixth in actual scoring average (68.64), sixth for birdie average (4.50), and tenth for strokes gained putting (.696) on the PGA Tour.

Abraham Ancer $8,500

Ancer has played three golf tournaments since the PGA Tour returned to action following the stoppage of play due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In those three events played, Ancer has three top 14 finishes, including a second place result at the RBC Heritage last month.

Troy Merritt $6,600

The 34 year old American has two consecutive top 22 finishes on the PGA Tour, including an eighth place result at the Rocket Mortgage Classic two weeks ago. He also finished 17th at the 2019 Memorial Tournament.

Talor Gooch $6,500

He has four top 17 finishes on the PGA Tour this season, including a 17th place result at last week’s Workday Charity Open. Additionally, after completing four competitive rounds at the Workday Charity Open, he was ranked ninth in GIR (greens in regulation-69.4%) in relation to the field.
