Daniel Berger looks to continue his hot streak that extends prior to the pandemic. He’s on a run of five straight top-10s, including a win at the Charles Schwab Challenge and a T-3rd at the RBC Heritage in recent weeks.

The 2015 Rookie of the Year is showing a resurgence after injuries and some inconsistent play riddled the last two years.

Berger’s overall game has been sharp, as evidenced by ranking seventh on the PGA Tour in total strokes gained (1.75) and in the top 40 in each SG category.

His consistency lately is unmatched. Berger’s posted 32 straight rounds of par or better dating back to October when his last missed cut was. No one else has more than 20 straight.

You can pick your spots to be aggressive at Muirfield Village if you’re in the fairway. The 27-year-old blends good accuracy (38th, 66.38%) with decent length (76th, 299.9).

Don’t expect the Memorial Tournament to be the same shootout as the Workday Charity Open. That said, Berger could still post some rounds in the mid-60s thanks to his birdie-making ability (6th, 4.5 per round).

It’s hard to find a downside for Berger this week other than his course history.

The former Florida State Seminole has teed it up at Jack’s Place just twice. Berger missed the cut in 2015 and was 67th in 2016.

This will only be Berger’s third start since play resumed a month ago. Some guys are on their fourth, fifth or even sixth event, so I expect him to be rested and sharp this week.
