This week, fantasy golf fans will be presented with the Wyndham Championship. Let’s take a look at this event from a fantasy golf perspective!

Before I discuss my fantasy golf selections let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play and a few key facts that I feel are relevant from a DFS perspective this week.

The 2020 Wyndham Championship will be played at Sedgefield Country Club. This golf course is a classic Donald Ross design.  The track is a par 70 that measures 7,127 yards. This course features pure Bermuda greens and fairways.

The Wyndham Championship has been played at Sedgefield Country Club every year since 2008. This gives DFS players an abundance of previous course history to evaluate as they construct player pools for Draftkings contests.

Previous winning scores at this event suggest that scoring will NOT be a problem for Tour players this week. Just to provide some clarity to that statement, let’s take a look at last year. In 2019, J.T. Poston won the Wyndham Championship with a winning score of 22 under par.

Here are my fantasy golf/Draftkings player selections for the 2020 Wyndham Championship!

Webb Simpson $11,200

The 2012 United States Open champion has an outstanding event history at the Wyndham Championship. To be more specific, Simpson has played the Wyndham Championship ten times since 2010, in those ten tournaments played, Webb has an impressive eight top 11 finishes, including a win in 2011.

As far as current form goes, Simpson certainly checks that box  for me as well. Simpson has six top ten finishes this season, including two wins (Waste Management Phoenix Open, RBC Heritage).

Harris English $9,300

The 31 year old American has played eight events on the PGA Tour since February 2020. In those eight events played, English has seven top top 19 finishes, including a 13th place result at the Memorial Tournament last month.

Harris also checks the box for me when it comes to key statistics. In the last twelve rounds played on the PGA Tour, in relation to the current listed Wyndham Championship field, English ranks third in bogey avoidance, 16th in strokes gained tee to green, and fifth in strokes gained putting.

Tom Lewis $7,600

The 29 year old Englishman has two top 12 finishes in his last four events on the PGA Tour, including a second place result at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational two weeks ago.

Charl Schwartzel $7,400

The 2011 Masters champion has three top 17 finishes this season, including a third place result at the 3M Open three weeks ago. Schwartzel also finished third at the 2015 Wyndham Championship.

Henrik Norlander $7,300

Norlander has six top 25 finishes this season, including a sixth place result at the Memorial Tournament in July. Additionally, Henrik finished 16th at the 2013 Wyndham Championship.

Cameron Davis $7,000

The Australian has three top 25 finishes on the PGA Tour this season, including an eighth place result at the Honda Classic in March.
