Each week on the PGA Tour, there are winners and losers in that week’s event. We will take a look at those who had good weeks and those who didn’t right here each week. Here’s a look at the winners and losers from this week’s Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship.

Winners

Hudson Swafford – Earned his second PGA Tour win this week, adding the Corales Puntacana to his 2017 title at the CareerBuilder Challenge. A good week all around for the 33-year-old who led after two rounds, slipped on Saturday, then bounced back on Sunday with a solid round of 69.

More from Golf News

Tyler McCumber – It was an up and down week for McCumber. He started with a 65 on Thursday, then shot a 71 on Friday. He had a 69 on Saturday, then rallied for a 66 on Sunday and a second-place showing, a career best for the 29-year-old.

Mackenzie Hughes – The Canadian stayed hot this week with a third-place showing in the Dominican Republic. Coming off a 14th-place showing in the FedEx Cup standings last season, Hughes is looking like he will build on that in 2020-21.

Will Zalatoris – Another player who stayed hot this week, Zalatoris needed a rally on Sunday to get from 45th place to a tie for eighth. He did that by shooting a 7-under par 65 on Sunday, the best round of the day. Zalatoris has a very bright future ahead of him.

Nate Lashley – The 37-year-old earned just his fifth career top 10 finish with a solo fourth this week in the Dominican. Closing with 65 on Saturday and 69 on Sunday helped his cause tremendously.

Losers

Adam Long – He had a legitimate shot to win this week and really only needed to shoot something around par on Sunday to be in the mix. Instead, he shot a 3-over par 75 and fell to a solo fifth. Long will see this week as one that got away.

Bill Haas – The one-time FedEx Cup champion is still struggling to find his game after an injury in 2018. Now 38 years old, it’s hard to imagine that Haas can’t get back, but struggling against a less than stellar field this week is not a good sign.

Dominic Bozzelli – He entered Sunday’s round in 17th place and, with a big round, could have had a career-best finish. Instead, he carded a 76 and fell from 17th to a tie for 56th. It was a wasted opportunity for Bozzelli.

Next. U.S. Open: the struggle continues for Jordan Spieth. dark

Xinjun Zhang – Another player who could have had a career-best finish on Sunday but who slipped down the leaderboard instead. Zhang, who has never placed in the top three of a PGA Tour event, entered Sunday’s round in fourth. But he shot a 74 and dropped to 11th place.

Henrik Stenson – Arguably the biggest name in the field this week, Stenson didn’t really seem like he wanted to be there. He shot 70-69-69-71 to finish 9-under par and in a tie for 21st. More was expected from Stenson this week.
