Find out who the winners and losers were at this week’s PGA Tour stop, the Sanderson Farms, including Keegan Bradley and Sergio Garcia.

Each week on the PGA Tour, there are winners and losers at each tournament. Here at Pro Golf Now, we take a look at those who did well and those who need to improve each week. Here are the winners and losers from this week’s tour stop, the Sanderson Farms Championship.

Winners

Sergio Garcia – The Spaniard earned his 11th PGA Tour win on Sunday at the Sanderson Farms. Garcia shot a 5-under par 67 on Sunday to win by a shot, and for the first time in the U.S. since his 2017 Masters title.

Peter Malnati – There’s something about the Sanderson Farms Championship that Malnati loves. His only PGA Tour win came in the event in 2016. On Sunday, Malnati shot a 9-under par 63 to get himself into contention, only to fall one shot short of Garcia. Still, a second-place finish is a solid one for Malnati.

Henrik Norlander – After finishing 76th in the FedEx Cup standings last season, Norlander had gotten off to a slow start in the 2020-21 season, missing two cuts in two starts. But this week, Norlander tied for fourth and jumped 123 spots in the FedEx Cup standings.

Tyler McCumber – He makes the winners list for the second week in a row. After a second place last week at the Corales Puntacana, McCumber tied for sixth place this week at the Sanderson Farms. He will remain in the top five in the FedEx Cup standings again this week.

Camilo Villegas – The veteran has had things more important than golf on his mind in recent months. His daughter, Mia, passed away in July at just 22 months old. Villegas has now returned the tour, which is a victory in itself. But this week in Mississippi, Villegas had his best finish in nearly two years, a tie for 23rd. His return to the tour, and solid play, is something all golf fans can root for.

Losers

Keegan Bradley – The former PGA Tour Rookie of the Year had a two-shot lead after 36 holes in Mississippi. He promptly shot a 73 on Saturday to fall two shots behind the leaders and made no serious run at the top on Sunday. The Bradley of eight or nine years ago would not have let that lead slip away.

Jason Dufner – The player who Bradley topped in a playoff at the 2011 PGA Championship, Dufner continues to struggle. He carded a rough 76 on Thursday and, despite a 70 on Friday, Dufner missed another cut this week.

Henrik Stenson – Perhaps the biggest name in the field this week, Stenson never got anything going in Jackson. He was 2-under par on Thursday with a 70, but shot a 2-over par 74 on Friday to miss the cut by three shots.

Cameron Davis – Entered Sunday with a share of the lead, but could not hold on. Playing with Garcia, he shot an even-par 72 and finished in a tie for sixth. Not a bad finish for the Aussie, but not what he wanted in the final round.

Brandt Snedeker – Another player who could have put himself in the mix on Sunday, Snedeker instead fell back with a round of 73. He fell from a tie for fourth into a tie for 17th. The 73 was, by three shots, his worst round of the week in Mississippi.
