The PGA Tour travels to Las Vegas for the Shriners Hospitals For Children Open. Fantasy golf/DraftKings players will be presented with a quality field of talent for this event, headlined by 2020 U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau.

The Shriners Hospitals For Children Open will be played at TPC Summerlin. The golf course is a par 71 that measures approximately 7,255 yards. Fantasy golf fans should be mindful of the fact that this golf course is about 2,700 feet above sea level. Additionally, the greens at TPC Summerlin are bentgrass.

It should be noted that TPC Summerlin has exclusively hosted this event since 2008. This golf course has consistently been vulnerable to low scoring since the tournament’s move to TPC Summerlin. Just to provide some clarity to that statement, Kevin Na won the Shriners last year with a score of 23 under par.

The key statistics I will be focusing this week are driving accuracy, strokes gained tee to green, strokes gained off the tee, and GIR (greens in regulation.)

Here are my Draftkings/fantasy golf selections for the Shriners Hospitals For Children Open!

Hideki Matsuyama $9,900

The 28 year old arrives at this week’s event on the heels of six consecutive top 29 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a third place result at the BMW Championship in August.

In relation to this week’s current listed Shriners Hospitals For Children Open field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Matsuyama ranks first in strokes gained tee to green, seventh in strokes gained approach, and fifth in strokes gained ball striking.

It should also be noted that Hideki finished 16th at last year’s Shriners Hospitals For Children Open.

Harris English $9,700

The American has an impressive eight top 23 finishes in his last nine events on the PGA Tour, including a second place result at the Northern Trust in August.

Sungjae Im $9,300

The 22 year old Korean has four top 28 finishes in his last six events on the PGA Tour, including a 22nd place result at the United States Open last month.

In relation to this week’s current listed Shriners Hospitals For Children Open field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Im ranks second in driving accuracy, first in GIR (greens in regulation), sixth in strokes gained approach, and second in strokes gained ball striking.

Brandt Snedeker $7,300

Snedeker recently hired a new instructor and a new caddie. Last week’s event was his first tournament played since making these changes. Did these changes make a difference? I think so. As I watched the event, Snedeker’s game certainly passed my eye test. Brandt finished 17th at last week’s Sanderson Farms Championship.

Peter Malnati $6,700

Malnati fired a final round 63 at last week’s Sanderson Farms Championship on his way to an eventual second place finish. Malnati also finished 15th at the 2019 Shriners Hospitals For Children Open.

Martin Laird $6,400

Laird finished 28th at last week’s Sanderson Farms Championship. In relation to the field at the Sanderson Farms Championship, after four rounds of play, Laird ranked second in GIR (greens in regulation-81.9%).

I also like the fact that Laird has played well at TPC Summerlin in the past. Since 2009, Laird has five top 28 finishes at the Shriners, including a win in 2008.

As always, good luck with your fantasy golf lineups!
