This week, the PGA Tour presents fantasy golf fans with the CJ Cup at Shadow Creek! Let’s take a look at this event from a fantasy golf perspective.

Before I dive into my fantasy golf player selections let’s take a quick look at the golf course the field will play this week.

The CJ Cup will be played at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, Nevada. This golf course is a par 72 that measures 7,527 yards. Nine holes on this track have water hazards in play. The green complexes at Shadow Creek feature pure bentgrass.

This will be the first time that the CJ Cup has been played at Shadow Creek. This tournament is traditionally played in South Korea. However, the event shifted to Shadow Creek due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Here are my DraftKings/fantasy player selections for the CJ Cup @ Shadow Creek!

Patrick Cantlay $9,800

Cantlay has two top 12 finishes in his last three events on the PGA Tour, including an eighth place result at last week’s Shriners Hospitals For Children Open.

Matthew Wolff $10,000

The 21 year old American has four top 16 finishes in his last five events on the PGA Tour. It should be noted that two of the four top 16 finishes just mentioned occurred at major championships, a second place result at the U.S. Open and a fourth place finish at the PGA Championship.

In relation to this week’s current listed CJ Cup field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Wolff ranks first in strokes gained tee to green, first in strokes gained ball striking, and second in strokes gained approach.

Louis Oosthuizen $8,500

The South African’s talent seems to shine the brightest on a big stage. To illustrate my point, let’s take a look at his best results at the four major championships. He won the 2010 Open Championship, finished second at the 2012 Masters, finished second at the 2015 U.S. Open, and also finished second at the 2017 PGA Championship.

Louis also checks the box for me when it comes to current form. Louis has two consecutive top 19 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a third place result at the U.S. Open last month.

Joaquin Niemann $7,500

Niemann arrives at this week’s event on the heels of four consecutive top 27 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 23rd place result at the United States Open.

In relation to this week’s current listed CJ Cup field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Joaquin ranks eighth in strokes gained putting, tenth in scrambling, and 15th in strokes gained on par fours.

Russell Henley $7,100

The 31 year old has four consecutive top 27 finishes on the PGA Tour, including an eighth place result at the Northern Trust in August.

Adam Hadwin $6,700

The Canadian fired a third round 62 at last week’s Shriners Hospitals For Children Open en route to an eventual 34th place result.

As always, good luck this week!
