Due to the CJ Cup and Zozo Championship being limited field events, Will Zalatoris had to wait a couple weeks to redeem his exemption for finishing top-10 at his last event (T-5th, Shriners Hospitals for Children Open).

The young star is now back in action at the Bermuda Championship. Zalatoris is seeking his fourth top-10 in his last five starts. He was most impressive at the U.S. Open (T-6th) and backed it up with T-8th at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship and in Vegas. Counting Korn Ferry Tour results, where he’s led the money list all season, Zalatoris owns a whopping 14 top-20s in his last 15 starts.

His only blemish was a missed cut at the Sanderson Farms Championship. That was Zalatoris’ fifth event in a row and ninth in 10 weeks at the time. And he still shot even par.

The former Wake Forest Demon Deacon was nearly outside the top 1,000 in the world beginning the year and playing Monday qualifiers. He’s now approaching the top 50.

This is Zalatoris debut at Port Royal Golf Course.

The Big Z is a pure ball striker. He leads the KFT in greens in regulation (81.13%). Zalatoris also averages over 314 yards off the tee while hitting over two-thirds of his fairways.

He’s been ultra consistent all year. The only knock on him you could make is he only won once on the KFT when two, three or four trophies are expected for his level of play.

Not only will Zalatoris win for the first time July, but he’ll lock up his PGA Tour card through 2022 in the process.
