Louis Oosthuizen +5000

You’re telling me that I can get Louis Oosthuizen at +5000? Sign me up.

His best finish came the year that he hit a masterful approach shot on the par 5 2nd hole, and did it on the final day of the tournament no less. Making the rarest of shots, Oosthuizen’s double eagle was the biggest part of him having his strongest finish ever at the Masters, as he would finish in second place in 2012.

He has since played quite well at Augusta. four top 25s and another 29th place. He is always right there, just within a glimpse of the leaderboard.

I’m really leaning towards some of the European guys this week, as they are used to playing in nastier conditions. November rain in Georgia isn’t the same as a blustery day, but it’s still going to be heavy and wet if they get the rain they are predicting over the weekend. Who better to deal with nasty conditions than someone who would likely revel in it.

Two top fives and another top ten over the last few years show that Louis can show up when it matters. It’s been just over ten years since he won his only major. It’s time for a second, and he should find himself in a great position to do so come Sunday at the Masters.
