10 Louis Oosthuizen, -0.61

Oosthuizen’s standing is largely based on his performance in only one of the three events. He did, however, manage to avoid largely embarrassing himself at the other two.

Coming in to the PGA Championship off a tie for sixth at the Fed Ex-St. Jude, Oosthuizen looked average at best at Harding Park. His four-round total of 278, good for a tie for 33rd, was only fractionally above the four-round field average of 278.27. Dominance rating: -0.02.

But if Oosthuizen played among the shadows at Harding Park, they knew he was around at Winged Foot. Four behind Matthew Wolff entering Sunday’s final round of play, he slowed to a 73…but so did almost everybody else, save for the eventual champion, DeChambeau.

The result was a solo third at 282, just two behind Wolff although eight off the champion’s pace. Dominance rating: -1.57.

At the Masters, Oosthuizen stood just three off the lead at the halfway point. But a third round 75 finished his chances to actually win and turned Sunday’s play into an exercise in climbing as high up the standings as he could. That turned out to be a tie for 23rd based on a closing 70. Dominance rating: -0.23.
