Tiger Week: Tournaments That Tiger Woods Has Dominated
By Tim Letcher
Tiger Woods has won as many tournaments on the PGA Tour as any player ever. His total of 82 wins is equal to the win total of the legendary Sam Snead.
Doing some simple math would tell you that Woods has won some tournaments on multiple occasions. And Tiger has. And it’s not just one or two tournaments that Woods has dominated.
Tiger is, in the opinion of some, the greatest player of all time. Even if you think otherwise, he’s among the greatest to ever tee it up on the PGA Tour.
Woods won for the first time in his career in 1996 at the Las Vegas Invitational, which is not one of the events on this list. His last win, at this point, came at the 2019 Masters. That’s 23 years worth of winning on tour for Woods, which is also an impressive feat.
But there are certain courses and specific tournaments that Woods has always built his schedule around. Sites and tournaments where he won. And won. And won. And those events always served a purpose for Woods. They were usually so he could hone his game as he prepared for majors (one of which is also on this list).
From Augusta National to Bay Hill to Torrey Pines to Firestone Country Club to Muirfield Village, Tiger has excelled on some of the best courses, and at some of the most prestigious tournaments on the tour. Here are the seven tournaments that Woods has dominated during his incredible PGA Tour career.
