I’ll take a shot with Watson this week and hope that he was able to shake off some rust at Torrey Pines last week in his first competitive start in 2021.

Bubba has a tremendous history at the Waste Management Phoenix Open including back-to-back top-five finishes last year and in 2019 at TPC Scottsdale.

Watson has gained over two strokes with his irons in his last three starts in Phoenix and despite losing in that department last week is tenth in the field in strokes gained approach over his past 24 rounds.

Bubba is also one of the better PAR 5 players on tour and after gaining strokes from off the tee last week I’ll back him with the hope that his iron play heats up again this week.
