Jon Rahm +900

I’m going right to the top of the board this week with Jon Rahm who has had a solid start to 2021 but is still in search of that first win this year.

Rahm has three top 10’s in four starts in 2021 and after a rather pedestrian first few rounds by a player of his caliber, he really kicked into gear on Sunday with a closing round 66 that saw him soar into the top 5.

The Spaniard was among the best in the field last week from tee to green and he gained strokes everywhere except with his usually reliable putter, so his game is in good shape moving forward beginning with the Florida swing this week.

Jon has had success on Jack Nicklaus designed courses previously including a win at the Memorial last year and a runner-up finish at last year’s ZOZO championship held at Sherwood Country Club.

I like that Rahm is one of several players to have seen this week’s course before as well having been part of the 2015 NCAA golf championship that was held at The Concession. A strong finish on Sunday, brief history at this course, and success at Jack Nicklaus designed courses, are all factors as to why Jon is the second favorite in this field, and why I am starting my card with the World number two this week at the WGC Workday Championship.

Starting the card with Rahm limits the rest of the picks this week, that is why I’m adding just three more names this week, two midtier options and one longshot.
